Obituary of Robert W. Radziwon

Robert W. Radziwon, age 86, the beloved husband of Barbara (Rutty) Shaw passed away peacefully on Friday evening, August 31, 2018 at Bride Brook Health and Rehabilitation in Niantic. He was born in Middletown on August 24, 1932 the son of the late Walter and Doris (Hill) Radziwon. Bob was raised in Ivoryton and had been a resident of Lyme for over 50 years. He was a machinist working many years at The Pratt-Read Company and also The Lee Company. Following his retirement Bob was a bartender at The Faulk Marcolini Newman American Legion Post # 113 in Old Saybrook. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bob and Barbara were married in Niantic on July 6, 2012. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10153 in Old Saybrook. Along with his wife Barbara he leaves his loving family and many friends. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the American Legion, 113 Essex Road in Old Saybrook on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00PM.
