Dear Vicki, Danny, Davey and Donnie,
Jim and I were so saddened to hear about both your Mom and Dad passing. They were truly awesome, beautiful people! While we did not have the opportunity to get together often, Char and Norm were the perfect Aunt and Uncle. I remember our families visiting together in Tucson when I was just a little girl. I remember having such a good time, I didn’t want to leave! I remember family sing-a-longs around the pianos at Tom and Janine’s. I can still picture your Mom taking her turn at the keyboard, catching a duet with Rita, or my Mom. I remember coming to Connecticut right after I graduated high school. Even though we didn’t get to spend a lot of time together, I ALWAYS felt like family!!! Every time we got to be together was fun and special! I still have the pressed flower pieces your Mom made for me. Your Mom made the best lasagna on the planet! Char and Norm both we’re always so gracious, and fun to be around! They are loved, and will be missed.
Our hearts go out to you all.
Teri & Jim
Dear Vicki, I read about your Mom and Dad in The Courant today. Their obituary, of a married couple together, caught my eye. Then I saw that they are your parents. I feel very sad for your loss. They sound like wonderful people. May you find comfort and peace as you carry on. Your friend and co-worker from NBGH, Debbie Dimock
Dear Vicki, David, Danny & Donnie - I remember your Mom as a kind, lovely and beautiful woman. She had a big warm smile and always made me feel special. She took a genuine interest in me and I enjoyed my visits with her. I have a beautiful pressed flower arrangement of hers proudly displayed in my home. I cherish it. Charlene Valentine - sounds like a movie star - and she was a glamorous woman!! I wish you all the best memories of your Mom. A Mom is one special person in our lives to whom no one can compare. Know that your Mom will be missed by me and so many others. Peace & healing to you and your whole family.
Love - Mary Johnston
