Lori was such an amazing friend and beautiful soul. I will cherish every memory we shared, and all the laughs we had. I will carry her in my heart forever. It's no surprise her last wish is to have others pay it forward, that's Lori. My heart goes out to Ben and all of her friends and family. This is a great loss for all of us.

My condolences to the family and friends of Lori. I competed against Lori many times in Judo in high school. She was a great athlete and competitor. She was respectful and well respected on and off the mat. I am saddened learning of her passing and grateful to have known her though it had been many years since she and I were in touch.

Lori was one of the kindest souls I remember growing up with in Westbrook. I have fond memories of attending church with her, and sharing classes with her from kindergarten to Senior High. Although it has been years since we have seen each other, she touched my life and the lives of many with kindness and grace. Peace be with her family as they face this loss, and God be with Lori as she enters His kingdom.

I met Lori not quite 13 years ago (Oct 9th) when she came to my rescue when I went into labor and needed the Westbrook Ambulance EMTs to drive me to Yale-New Haven. She was so sweet and compassionate especially considering I was inventing new swear words the entire drive to the hospital. Later she would tell me that she was in utter terror that she would actually have to deliver the baby....I never even knew she was scared. It was very close, I delivered with one push about 1 minute after reaching the hospital. Her reassuring smile is something I will always remember.
Not much later, we started a Bunco group and renewed our friendship and have been friends ever since.
I will always think of Lori every time I look at my daughter and when ever I hear the call of "TRAVELERS!". Now I will have to drink my Coronas by myself.
She will be missed.

Lori was one of the most positive people you could ever meet. Her desire to face her situation with determination and hope is a lesson for all of us. My daughter said yesterday that "Mrs. Canova was such a kind person. She always called every kid by name, smiled, and asked how are you today ? Her smile always made me smile." I think that says how Lori made many of us feel. You are in our thoughts Lori ... and so is your whole famy during this difficult time.
