Obituary of Wendy A. Wilcox

Wendy A. Wilcox, age 67, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 after a long illness. She was born on September 2, 1950 in Hartford, CT and spent her childhood summers in Grande Isle, VT.  Wendy worked as a PC board assembler at Essex Engineering and GBR in the tri-town area. She was an avid painter in her earlier years with her favorite mediums being ceramics and acrylic on canvas. Wendy also had a great love of cooking. She lived in Essex for many years and enjoyed watching the birds outside of her windows. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Daniel J. and Audrey L. Harris Sr, her brother, Daniel J. Harris Jr, and her granddaughter, Sydney M. Ewan. She is survived by her five children: Kimberly (Harris) Shaw and her husband Gary of Central Village, Misty Ewan of Deep River, William Ewan Jr of New London, Tamara Ewan of Torrington, and Christina (Wilcox) Sirico and her wife Samantha of Old Saybrook. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and her two great grandsons. Wendy also leaves her sister Denise (Harris) Cutler and her husband Gary of Winthrop, and her brother Francis Harris of Killingworth. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centebrook.
