Obituary of Joseph G. Fouquette
Joseph Gerald Fouquette 50 of Lyme passed away June 10, 2018 after a long struggle with medullary thyroid cancer. Joe was the middle child of Gerald (Joe) and Sandra Fouquette born on April 2, 1968 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. While attending Foley High in Foley, MN Joe had an outstanding wrestling career earning many awards and breaking school records. He graduated in 1986. He went on to NDSU for a short time before going into the construction industry. He worked for a number of years for Abhe Svoboda Inc. This company provided Joe the opportunity to live and work in Hawaii for seven years. He also worked in Connecticut, Maine, Washington State, Michigan and several other states. While in Maine he met Jennifer Brown and her son David. He proposed to Jennifer (who he would fondly call Peaches) at the top of the World Trade Center, they later married on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Caribbean on September 25, 2000. On January 14, 2002 Leah Nicole made their family complete. Joe enjoyed watching David and Leah play Lacrosse and a variety of other sports they participated in. Joe was an avid football fan his favorite team was the Cowboys. Joe also LOVED boating with his huge circle of friends and the fishing tournaments he and his friends participated in. Joes outgoing personality and love of life impacted many people anyone that knew him always has a story to tell. Words will never describe how much Joe will be missed by his huge circle of friends and his family. He is survived by his wife Jennifer, daughter Leah, son David, and his grandmother Maggie Fouquette of Foley MN. His father Gerald (Joe) and mother Sandra of Foley, MN, sister Lisa (George) Fouquette of Little Falls, nieces Amanda (Paul) Strang, Foley, MN. Great nephews Ethan and Alex. Brittany Funt (Cliffton) of Pierz MN, great nephew Landon and great niece Melanie, nephew Cody Keeler of Foley, MN and great nephew Jordan, brother Chad (Audrey) Fouquette Sartell MN and nephew Devin, mother in law Ellie Brown and brother in law David Brown niece Kendra Brown all of Manchester, MA. He also has many aunts and uncles and cousins that will miss him. His grandfathers’ Louis Fouquette of Foley and Russell Kreitlow of Williams, IA. Grandmothers Alpha Kreitlow of Dows, IA and Hazel Kreitlow of Williams, IA., and father in law David S. Brown of ME. preceded him in death. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held 12-5PM on Saturday June 16, 2018 at the Westbrook Elks Club, Seaside Ave. in Westbrook, CT.
