Obituary of Jessie Sante Bereza

Jessie Sante Bereza, 84, a lifelong resident of Old Saybrook passed away at Perigrines Landing at The Shoreline in Clinton on Monday November 3, 2014. Born in Manchester on October 26, 1930, daughter of Salvatore and Marion (Bennett) Sante. Jessie graduated from high school there in 1946 and was a bookkeeper at the Chesebrough Ponds Company in Clinton and other various businesses in the area. She also enjoyed the Estuary very much in Old Saybrook. She is survived by her sisters Zena Gilbert of Fort Pierce, Florida, June McCarthy and her husband Ken of Old Saybrook, and Darlene Warner of Largo, FL., brothers, David Carter of Suisun City, CA, John Carter of Clinton, CT., and Dan Carter of Slansville, WV., and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother, Joseph Sante, sister, Lucia Sante, and her beloved husband Walter Bereza who passed away in 2003. A graveside service will be held on Friday November 7, 2014 at 11:00AM in the Riverside Cemetery on Sheffield Street in Old Saybrook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT. 06067.
