I’m so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. She was one of the kindest people at The Hearth, where my mother was also a resident. In fact, they seated my mother (who was well into dementia) and me with Mary and Ed for her first dinner. So at that difficult time for our family, Mary and Ed made her feel welcome. They all shared a nice chat about teaching, which mother had done for 22 years. And children. Mary was very caring with Ed. This must be especially difficult for him. They both had long, good lives for you to cherish. My sympathies to your family.

Very sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. I taught with Mary for many years and truly loved working with her. I fondly remember her wonderful sense of humor and how much pride she took in her family and with her students. She most certainly was a terrific teacher .
