George and I were across-the-street play friends on Village Street in Deep River until I moved to Florida in third grade. It is wonderful to read that he lived a fulfilling life with many dimensions. My condolences to his family.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a shy boy growing up. He and Dennis O'Shea would play and some times they would ask Bev Molander and I to join them. I haven't been in touch with him for a number of years. One night we were at Oliver's and someone called to me and said " I bet you don't know who I am..." and I said you are right then he told who he was and it was like where did the years go.
Sincerely,
Donna Mayer Hyde

There no words that can comfort you and your family. It is within the memories that are mine that George will forever be my friend, from elementary throughout the many Class Reuions VRHS Class of 1965. In 6th grade teasing George to see him blush was popular with the girls. He was shy and cute. George was always a steadfast friend, fun to hangout with, always a smile for each of us. He was earnest and careing when he shared his thoughts on raising two beautiful children. Loved his family and showed it. George was a quiet man who's thoughts and love ran deep. We will all miss seeing him however we can call him to mind through our memories of a life time. Thank you George for a lifetime of memories.

Louise and family, I am very sorry to learn of George’s passing. He was such a good and kind man who loved his family very much. Anytime someone at the campground needed help, he was right there! And what a character. Always cracking jokes, some of which were rude! But he could make people laugh. He was very knowledgeable in many subjects and seem to enjoy talking about things he knew something about. He will be missed! Warmest regards, Kim
