Obituary of Chad Jude Horan Precourt

Chad Precourt, 32, of Deep River died peacefully at Yale New Haven Hospital on Sunday July 15th surrounded by family and friends after a short and courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born on September 22nd 1985 in Middletown, CT to Frank and Ellen (Horan) Precourt. His professional trade was as a Diesel Mechanic. As a man he loved to help others and fix anything he could get his hands on. Chad was a dedicated father and husband. His children were his world. Any day surrounded by family was a good day for Chad. He is survived by his wife Ashley (Whaples) Precourt, daughters Kaitlyn and Ella; his mother Ellen Precourt; two brothers, Pat and wife Tracey of Cromwell and Bart and wife Kelli of Florida; his maternal grandmother Julie (Horan) Tuttle of Marlborough; mother in law Marianne (Kinrade) Whaples of South Carolina; father in law Steve Whaples and wife Janet; brother in law Mike Whaples and wife Cyndi of Ivortyon; sister in law Cassie Whaples of Rhode Island; nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 20th at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 14 Prospect Street, Essex, CT. A reception will follow after Mass at the John III Sobieski Society, 10 Woodland Road, in Deep River. Ashley Precourt asks: That you put down the phone and hug those you love right now, take a walk on the beach with your loved ones, and never take another hug for granted.
