I'm so sorry that I just saw this and missed the opportunity to pay my respects to a man I worked with at EB. He was always so nice to me and his eyes would light up whenever he spoke of Lydia. I have thought of him often after I left EB. I will always remember that he blessed me by coming to my wedding 31 years ago. May you all hold your loving memories close to your hearts. God Bless.

Richard was such a Gentle Man. All who met him loved him. His brother Phil was sad that because of his health he could not visit Richard while he was ill or attend his funeral. He was also predeceased by his sister Olive Mae. The two brothers and sister were very close growing up. As the family grows smaller we live with the wonderful memories we have of the pass. Our prayers go out to all his family.

To the family of dear, sweet Dick Dyer,
My husband Peter and I were blessed to be a couple who were guided by Dick and Lydia as we prepared for marriage about 31 years ago. Peter and I, along with 2 or 3 other couples, met at Dick and Lydia's home in Preston for classes that touched on all aspects of married life. Both Dick and Lydia were so welcoming, nurturing, loving and showed us that married life held so much happiness, joy and love...they both were the epitome of such a marriage. Dick and Lydia offered insight into how a loving marriage could last through years when there was respect, love, trust, and honest communication. Dick exuded such love for Lydia and Lydia for Dick. Their love for each other was so obvious and genuine. It was truly something to witness! He was kind, gentle and so giving of himself. He loved life and people. Both Peter and I are saddened to learn of Dick's passing, but happy that he is in God's loving embrace as we're sure God has other plans for him in Heaven. He certainly was an angel here on earth as he surely is now with God. I know he will be guiding his love ones from Heaven and that he is still with us in spirit. Please accept our deepest sympathies during this transition in life and know that Dick will remain in our hearts forever....sent with love and respect, Grace M. Coombs

Dear Lydia, We are so sad to read about Dick's passing. We recall those days of our involvement with you in Marriage Prep for the Norwich Diocese with Fr. Bill. Yours was a strong, loving example, 67 years! How blessed you were.
May God watch over you and your family as you miss this dear husband and father. Our prayers and love are with you.

Lydia and family,
My heartfelt sympathy to all of you in your loss. I remember the years you were an important part of the Preston community. It was a pleasure to be a part of the Preston Community Chorus with both of you. You lived your faith in a truly meaningful way, straight from your hearts. I’m sure he is at peace with the God he loved and served so faithfully all those years. I am sure that brings you much comfort as you move forward in your time of grief, and the great loss you have suffered.
May God truly Bless all of you.
