I met Roy in 1966-1967 when I started to work for tne national Guard full time Status. After a few years Roy became my supervisor in avionics, I worked for Roy For about 25 years.
We have become friends over them years and still good friends to this day I talk to Roy about 5 to 6 times a year to talk about old times Which we would change information about our old job We would laugh About things we heard about and we would feel sorrow over our friends that we lost over the years. I talk to Roy a few days ago, and all that he had on his mind was his family and the pride and love that he had for his family And how proud he was of his kids in what they've all become. Roy told me that his heart was full of love of his Family and his lovely wife Gigi who has always supported him and cared for him over the years. Good bye my friend I will miss you.

I have wonderful memories of my cousin Roy. We spent many Sundays in either Deep River and Old Saybrook together. My childhood would not be complete without memories of Roy, his Mom, and brothers. We had a very special relationship. Roy will be missed.
My sincere sympathies to Gigi, David and family.

I met Roy at what the was known as the 162nd Tars Shop, later to be known as the 1109 AVCRAD. I was a PFC and he was 5 years my senior. Along with others I looked up to him as he offered his life's advice to us young men. And I still adhere to many of the things he told me. Later as I rose in rank he became a contemporary and then a friend. I think the last time I saw him was with Gigi at my house for dinner so many years ago. So many memories. One that jumps out is when he got that "final" haircut, meaning the comb over was gone! Roy's name over the years came up in so many conversations by us "old" soldiers at the retiree picnics. He was a friend and a mentor.
Gigi, I have to be in NY to pick up someone coming in to JFK and will not be able to attend his services. The retiree picnic is later this week and I will ensure he is listed among the soldiers who have left us. All the best to you and your family.

I met Roy a year ago Septemeber. I live in Washington State and have travelled with Gigi for several years now. I so loved hearing Roys stories about Tacoma, Seattle and the surrounding areas. He remembered every detail about his service here and the area highlights like it was yesterday. I am honored to have met him and to have had the opportunity to have shared my home state, which is a piece of me, with him. Rest in peace my friend. You will truly be missed!!!

I met Roy in January of 1960 and became best friends for the two years I worked with Roy at Fort Lewis. I learned more about Huey helicopters from Roy than any school could ever teach me. He was a fun guy to be around. We visited Roy and Gigi a few years back and it was great to see him again and meet his wonderful wife Gigi. I will miss his friendship..............RIP Roy, your old buddy Zeke
