Obituary of Brian Tisdale
Brian Tisdale, 69, of Chester, CT passed away on Tuesday August 28, 2018 with his family by his side. Brian was born on November 17, 1948 in Leominster, MA to Charles and Geraldine Tisdale. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Brian will be dearly missed by wife Christine of 52 years, son, Eric and his wife Anne Marie, daughter, Amy and grandsons, Maximus and Gabriel Tisdale, sisters, Linda Williams (Frederick), Brenda Kennard (Melvin), sisters-in-law, Paula and Victoria Laskowski, brother-in-law, Stanley Laskowski, many nieces and nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by his mother, father, and brother, Wayne Tisdale. Brian served in Vietnam in the United States Army and was the recipient of The Bronze Star Medal for Heroism in Ground Combat. He was a proud and dedicated Lineman at Northeast Utilities in Madison, CT for 45 years. Brian loved civil war history and sharing his knowledge with others. He was kind, generous and a friend to all. Visitation will be held at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Friday evening, August 31st from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at Saint Joseph’s Church, 48 Middlesex Ave. in Chester on Saturday, September 1st at 10:00AM with the rendering of Military Honors following. Burial will be privately held by his family in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery.
