Obituary of Dauris Falcone

Dauris Falcone, a long-time resident of Norwalk, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Gladeview Health Care Center in Old Saybrook after a short illness. Dauris was born on September 14, 1933, the daughter of the late Santa and Joseph Falcone of Norwalk.  She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1951 and Trinity College in Washington D.C. in 1955.  Dauris had a long career in government service where she was stationed and lived in Washington D.C.,  Kaduna, Nigeria, and also Asuncion, Paraguay for several years.  After retiring from government service, Dauris lived in both Englewood and Sarasota, Florida.  Dauris moved to Old Saybrook in 2017. Dauris is survived by her husband of 42 years, Sean J. Murphy, of Old Saybrook.  Dauris was predeceased by her parents and also her seven brothers, Nicholas, Henry, Joseph, Frank, Frederick, Carlo, and Arthur Falcone.  Dauris was predeceased by her sister, Santa F. Mendoza and her brother-in-law, Dr. Ruben Mendoza. She is survived by and will be very much missed by 27 of her nieces and nephews and several godchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 14 at 11:00AM at Saint John’s Church, Main Street, Old Saybrook.
