Obituary of John F. Keefe

On October 5, 2018, John F. Keefe, 55, of Haddam, CT passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family. John will forever be remembered by his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.  He truly lived every day to the fullest. John began his 37-year career in the paper and printing industry as a pressman at City Printing in New Haven, CT. He later joined his father and two brothers as a salesman at Ris Paper Company, where his gift of gab and love of people led to a lifelong career. John most recently worked at Canon Solutions in Rocky Hill, CT. John’s life revolved around his family and everything was an adventure, whether they were skiing, golfing, or taking random road trips. However, nothing made him happier than working in his yard and taking long walks to enjoy the sunset along the river with his wife. John is survived by his beautiful wife of 27 years, Heidi Keefe née Johnson of Haddam, CT; his two sons, Tom Keefe of New York, NY and Seamus Keefe of Jupiter Island, FL; and his daughter Brigid Keefe of Boston, MA. Born in New Haven, CT to a large Irish-Catholic family, John was the seventh of nine children; he is survived by his two brothers and four sisters. John was predeceased by his parents, Dan and Ann Keefe, and his two brothers, Peter and Tom (Clay) Keefe. He will be missed by many and welcomed by those who have gone before him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook, CT with private burial services held the following day.
