Obituary of Virginia M. Cook
Virginia M. (Collomore) Cook, 94, passed away peacefully at Middlesex Hospital on All Souls Day, November 1, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Ernest W. Cook Jr. Virginia was the daughter of the late Nicholas & Anna (Habisreitinger) Collomore. A lifelong resident of Essex and graduate of Pratt High School. She is survived by her loving sons; Ernest W. Cook III (Capt. Bill) of Essex and Kimberly R. Cook (his wife Barbara)of Chester. Devoted grandmother of Devon L. Kelting of Belchertown, MA, great grandmother of Tanner Kelting Massaro and Dylan Ketling Massaro and her kitty Erin. In adition to her husband Ernest, Virginia was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Kelting Cook. Virginia ,our Mom at many levels lived a rich full life, she was a hundred times stronger than her small size suggested; and loved by all who knew her. Our time with her will never be forgotten. We love and miss you Mom. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8th from 9-10:30am at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook. Prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 11am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
