Obituary of William Noel Frank
William Noel Frank, 81, of Deep River passed away January 16, 2019 surrounded by his devoted family. He was born Christmas Day of 1937 in Hell’s Kitchen and attended Queens College and NYU. He worked as a commercial insurance agent for 45 years. One of his proudest accomplishments was working in the Intelligence Department of the U.S. Air Force between 1956 and 1960. He loved beer league softball, a good poker game and volunteering with the local fife and drum corps when his kids were young. Volunteering and service was instinctive for Bill. He served on the Region 4 Board of Education, Deep River Planning and Zoning Board, was active in the NRA and volunteered for the Deep River Fire Department for 25 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Konrad Frank, his daughter and son-in-law, Kate and Vin Stella and his son, William Konrad Frank. The apples of his eye were his two granddaughters, Amanda and Mary Kate Hoey. “Big Bill” will live on in our hearts forever. He was, at all times, a character. You always knew his opinion on any matter. Above all, he treated everyone with respect and admired a job well done. He always had a great story or a good joke and his sense of humor will be missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill’s name can be made to the Deep River Fire Department; 57 Union Street, Deep River, CT 06417. The family would like to thank the staff of Aaron Manor and Middlesex Hospice for their invaluable assistance.
