Obituary of Anna J. Ferrera

Anna J. (Hanssen) Ferrera, 89, formerly of Deep River, died at Chestelm Health and Rehabilitation Center in Moodus on January 20, 2019. Anna was born in The Netherlands on December 6, 1929, daughter of the late Mathias & Theresia (Vanderheyden) Hanssen. Beloved mother of Marty (Molly) Radomski of Deep River, Annaliesa Radomski of Waterford and Theresia (Steve) Hickey of N.C., dear sister of Nico , Joseph & Theresia. Anna is also survived by her grandchildren: Rebecca, Rachel, Joe, Kevin, Leah, Anders & Genevieve and 4 great grandchildren. Anna was predeceased by her 2^nd husband John Ferrera and her brother Hubert. She worked for 33 years and retired from Silgan Plastics in Deep River, belonged to the Red Hat Ladies, volunteered at the Estuary in Old Saybrook and was a past member of the 60”s club in Deep River. Annas’ family wishes to thank Melanie Gordon & Lynn Wayne, Masonicare Hospice and Chestelm for the compassionate care. Visitation will be held at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook on Friday from 5-7pm. Graveside services will follow on Saturday at Fountain Hill Cemetery at 10am.
