Obituary of Valerie A. Woronick
Valerie A Woronick, 91, of Chester passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019 after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. She is now reunited with the love of her life, Edward, her beloved husband of 65 years. Valerie was born March 21, 1927 in Branford CT, daughter of the late Joseph & Antonia (Fortunska) Dombrowski. Valerie was a telephone operator in New Haven before she married and raised her 6 children. Valerie & Edward moved to Springfield, Vermont for 33 years before returning to Connecticut in 2012. Valerie enjoyed gardening, camping, crocheting, playing games & singing. She was a loving & devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Valerie is survived by her children, Paul Woronick and his husband John Colepaugh; Debra Czlapinski and her husband Ronald; Valerie Mattes and her husband Robert; and Wendy Vidou and her husband Ted.; 13 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons, Phillip and Daniel Woronick. She was also predeceased by her 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Relatives and friends may join the family for visiting hours on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 4-6 pm at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook to celebrate Valerie’s life. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, January 28, 2019 at Our Lady of Sorrows, in Essex at 10:30AM followed by a private burial at Saint Agnes Cemetery, 295 East Main Street, Branford.
