Obituary of Rose E. Hoadley

Rose E. Hoadley, age 87, of Ivoryton passed away on Saturday morning, March 1st at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Hoadley who predeceased her in 1997. Rose was born in Medford, Massachusetts on October 5, 1926 the daughter of Francis and Jessie (Mahoney) Endicott. She had been a resident of Ivoryton for the last 56 years and was a parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Essex. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Poindexter of Holbrook, MA, her son, Kevin Hoadley and his companion Victoria Shorey, of Ivoryton, her beloved grandchildren, Sarah, Amy, Daniel, Christina and Elizabeth and her sister, Beatrice O'Sullivan, of Wakefield, MA. Besides her husband Charles she was predeceased by her grandsons, David and Jonathan. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 14 Prospect Street in Essex. Interment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery in Westbrook.
