My name is Jean Snyder, daughter of Thomas and Ethel Shearer. Thomas was Minnie's brother, so Rodney is my cousin. I had a few occasions to see him with the more recent time at a family reunion in the Horesheads NY area at cousin Sylvia's. Over the years I had Christmas card exchanges with Rodney and Joyce with family names included. I have read the obituary article that was in the Williamsport newspaper and it was good to read of his activities and accomplishments in life. Our prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. May the Lord God be your comfort and strength. We send you our sympathy.

Sending love and prayers to all of you. Though I didn't know your dad very well, we are connected through the Shearer family. My mom, Margaret Shearer Anderson, was his cousin. May God fill you with comfort and peace. He lived a full life. God's blessings.

Please accept our deepest condolences, our thoughts and prayers at your loss. I will always remember Rodney's excited and committed participation in family reunions and stories from my Dad about their younger years together as cousins. Rodney's presence will be missed but the legacy he left will live on. What a great man and great life he led in service of his God, his Country, and his family. Love Tom Shearer and Family

We are so very sorry for your loss. We were very fortunate to have met your Dad after one of the Studio 24 concerts. He was charming and so very proud of you. We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family during this difficult time.

Dear Wilcox Family,
My most sincerest condolences on your loss. I remember Rod well from our time together at UMCGF. He was always friendly, welcoming and such a fine gentleman. I fondly remember playing the “house-boy” to Rod’s “Emile.” He had such a wonderful voice.
Best regards,
Kim Castro

My heart goes out to the family of the late Mr. Wilcox, he lived a full life and touched many people's hearts. Although I never had the chance to meet him I can see how much of a light he was in people's lives. It is hard to endure this tragic loss but please take consolation in the promise found in the book of Revelation chapter twenty one verses three and four, where we find the consolation that the time will come when we wont need to endure such hardships.
