Obituary of Barbara Jean Campbell
Barbara Jean Campbell, 76, of Ivoryton passed away quietly May 25th at Gladeview Health Center after a prolonged illness. She was born Nov. 18, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Paul R. and Lois L. Campbell. She grew up in Centerbrook and attended Valley Regional High School. Her family moved to Ivoryton where they were members of All Saints Episcopal Church. For a time, Barbara worked for the Emergi-lite Corp. She loved long walks especially with a dog in tow; she was a familiar sight in downtown Essex. She was also an avid reader and collector of Elvis Presley records. Barbara is survived by her sister Judith Craig (MA), cousins Louis Coulson (WA), Susan Burghes (OH), Carolyn Cava (RI), aunt Marcella Lipp (NM). A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20th at 10:30am at Centerbrook Cemetery, Westbrook Road in Centerbrook. The Reverend Brendan McCormick presiding. Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to All Saints Episcopal Church, Post Office Box 578, Ivoryton, CT 06442.
