Obituary of William L. Towler
William L. Towler, age 82, a lifelong resident of Deep River passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. He was the beloved husband of Janice (Lifer) Towler. She predeceased him on July 5, 1996. Bill was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 9, 1937 the son of Leslie and Helen (Miller) Towler. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country in the United States Army. Bill was employed at UARCO in Deep River as a Project Manager retiring after thirty years of service. He was a member of the Scandinavian United Society in Deep River and was an avid gardener and baseball fan. He is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Towler of Florida, his sisters, Delores M. Hagedorn of Woodstock, New York and Kathleen Fox of Ridge, New York, his step-sisters, Joyce Hines and Ruth Potts, his step brother, Robert Calamari and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Janice he was predeceased by his daughter, Tamberlene J. Towler and his step-sister, Joan Waterman. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 12:00PM with the rendering of Full Military Honors in the Fountain Hill Cemetery, 57 High Street in Deep River.
