Obituary of Claudette D. Bouchard

Claudette D. Bouchard, Age 80, of Deep River passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was the beloved wife of Norman Bouchard and a longtime resident of Deep River. Claudette was born in Saint Jacques, Madawaska, New Brunswick, Canada on November 3, 1938 the daughter of Aimee and Rose-Aimee (Cassista) Dube. Claudette was a former Lead Supervisor at the Lee Company in Essex working there for 28 years, and retiring in 2016. She was a communicant at Saint Joseph Church in Chester. She will be remembered as a wonderful baker and quilter and one who always enjoyed being with her family and friends. She truly loved taking and being part of the family photographs. Besides her husband Norman she leaves her daughter, Pauline C. Budney and her husband Dana of Ivoryton, her sons, Norman Patrick Bouchard, of Deep River and Richard Marcel Bouchard and his wife Susan of Washington, Maine, her six grandchildren, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter. In addition she is survived by her siblings, Patrick Dube of Deep River, Claude, France,  and Geannot Dube, of Saint Jacques, New Brunswick, Canada, Patricia Wallace of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, and Prescella Dube, of Saint Jacques, New Brunswick, Canada and Carolle Voisine and Francine Bouchard of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada. Claudette also leaves her very special friend, Claudina Makuck and her husband Ziggy of Chester. She was predeceased by her sister, Rolande Dube. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 5:00PM to 7:00Pm at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00AM at Saint Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Avenue in Chester. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Claudette’s name to Saint Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Ave., Chester, CT 06412.
