What a great guy! A great father, coach and all around good guy. I helped out when my son played on the Cardinals back in the day....He was so funny....all the kids had to learn how to bunt and my son hated it when he got the bunt sign...Lots of good memories of the whole family. RIP.

If there was ever a "poster child" for the TriTown, it could only be Dick Atkinson. He was equal parts local historian, community supporter, treasured teammate and coach, the embodiment of everything Swede Club, and an all-around great guy. He filled the room with his laughter, loyalty, and honesty. And, most vivid in my memory, whenever you had the honor of sharing a conversation with Dick, he always made you feel special because he chose to spend time with you. To all his family and too many friends to list, my sincere condolences. The Big Guy will be greatly missed!!
