Obituary of Justin Marciano

Justin Marciano passed away unexpectedly November 9, 2019 ,  followed by his beloved wife Denise Pospisil Marciano on November 11^th at home in Lyme, Connecticut.  First born son of Rocco Marciano and the late Nancy Marciano, July 2,1969 of the greater Waterbury, Connecticut area,  Justin is survived by his  father and younger sister Mia Marciano, of Mystic, Connecticut. He was predeceased by his brother Michael.

Denise was born December 24, 1971, daughter of Chuck and Kathy Pospisil in St. Charles, Illinois, and beside her mother, is survived by her sister Diane Kinney & family, ( Iwakuni, Japan), her sister Donna Stoyer Austin & family ( Colorado Springs, CO,), brother Scott Pospisil & family (Geneva, Illinois.), and Uncle Warren Pospisil (Navy Veteran living in Washington DC).

In accordance with the married couple's wishes, their ashes will ultimately be scattered together over the oceanside cliffs of Kauai, Hawaii, where they were joined in matrimony October 8, 1996.

Denise grew up in the Midwest and Orange County, California, while Justin lived in Western Connecticut until his graduation from the University of Hartford School of Arts. Denise was an accomplished member of the Screen Actors Guild, appearing in many TV commercials, on stage, and in TV mini-series.  Justin was a self-employed Graphic Artist, connected with print publishers on the Connecticut shoreline.

They met each other working as prominent cast characters in Disneyland, CA in 1993,

where Denise was  the original Little Mermaid and portrayed all the other princesses at Disney parks in California, Florida and the inaugural Tokyo Disneyland in Japan. Following their traveling tour of Japan for Disney, they were married in Hawaii, moved to Connecticut and lived “happily ever after”.

Denise loved to write beautiful poems and short essays, while Justin entertained her and others as a blues musician and provider of comic relief.

They will both be remembered and sorely missed for their gentle, supportive personalities, among their coworkers, support groups, and family members. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. Memorial contributions may be made in their names to Friends of Bill.
