Mrs. Stawarky was one of the most prominent people that helped shape my life from early on. She was my grade school teacher, which at the time of 1978, was named Northwest School in Newington. I was the child of a single mother who worked nights, and Mrs. Stawarky was always there for me during the days with support, guidance, and love. I have thought of her often throughout my years, especially when pursuing my career in nursing, and most importantly when reflecting on people who have made a difference in my life. My heartfelt condolences to her family. I wanted to share how much of an impact wonderful teachers have on their students, and what a difference she, and they, make in this world . Debbie Head
