Obituary of Margery Boyce Patten
Killingworth resident Margery Boyce Patten, age 91, joined her husband of 72 years, William E. (Bill) Patten in eternal rest on April 14th, 2020. She was born in New Haven on April 5th, 1929 to the late Paul and Ruth Boyce. Marge taught each who walked through her doors how to see the bright side of just about everything, she was the eternal optimist. She had a great love for her family and friends, traveled the entire country in an RV with her husband during their retirement years and was a wonderful seamstress, gardener and cook. A dog lover always, she leaves behind her beloved rescue dog, Chase. Marge is survived by six children, Bonnie Pudem (Roger Pudem) , Ted Patten (Phil Kehres), Skip Patten (Dan Warner), Scott Patten, Paul Patten (Robin Patten), and Rob Patten. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Jullie Pudem Scanlon (Skip), Carl Pudem, Sandy McGinnis (Nate), Kelly Patten, Cassidy Patten, Kyle Patten, Liam Patten and Dustin Patten, and four great-grandchildren, Robert and Ryan Scanlon and Layla and Ryan McGinnis. A celebration of her life will be held by the family at a later date.
