Judy,
My sister Nancy and I were so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. Jerry was a great friend to my father and mother, Chester and Rose Camarata. Jerry and my father's mutual love for music made for a great friendship. They so loved spending time with you and Jerry, especially their visits to your lake home. When my father Chester passed last year, you were very supportive to my mother Rose and our family which is greatly appreciated.
Be Well
Chet Camarata

Pop was an amazing grandfather, father, husband, and brother. Anyone and everyone who met him instantly fell in love with him and his sense of humor. As one of his four grandchildren, Pop -with Nana by his side- made sure to attend every single performance, sporting event, and graduation they could throughout my brothers’ and I’s childhood, and into our young adulthoods. Pop was incredibly proud and supportive of everything I would do in life, which meant more to me than he will ever know. Sunday dinners at the Sparaco house are my most frequent and recent memories to me of Pop - it was always nice to come home for the weekend from college and visit with him and Nana. My mother, Pop’s daughter, always made sure to buy or bake one of Pop’s favorite desserts after every meal because he was a sucker for all things from pie to donuts (the donut man!). However, memories with Pop date back to the day I was born, as he played such a major part in my upbringing and childhood. I remember all of the days at the lake of boat rides and tubing, as well as all of the many sleepovers I would spend at their home visiting with him and Nana. I always knew Pop was home because I could hear him playing the keyboard a few rooms over when I would arrive at their house. Pop was an amazingly talented individual, playing several instruments, and had a priceless gift of impressive musical capabilities. Pop never lost his memory, in fact he was always so sharp. He was so wise and so intelligent, teaching himself much of what he knew on his own. He could do anything.
Pop would not hurt a fly. I never heard him say anything negative. He was always cracking jokes and laughing. His energy was contagious and he was, and is, certainly deeply loved and missed tremendously by all who he touched during his lifetime, especially his family. I love you, Pop, and thank you for 22 years of love, support, and laughs.

Pop is the best grandfather I could ever ask for. I’ll never forget the trips to the McDonalds in Clinton, the tubing rides off his boat, the fish we caught, the holidays we shared and so much more. His passion for music, his family and the simple things in life has inspired me. Everyone that knew him loved his energy as he was just a cool guy to be around. I’ll never forget him telling me “Don’t do what I wouldn’t do!” as we laughed and smiled. His legacy will last forever and I know I will see him again as we called it “See you next time”. I feel his presence as he will always be with us and especially with my dear Nana who I love so much. No matter how much this hurts right now I know he is playing music up in heaven with his family and friends while also looking down on us. That gives me some peace. Pop will always be with us and I aspire to be the man that he is. ❤️

No words can describe the pain and loss I feel. My Jerry was my Life. We met and were together since I was a teenager...64 years ago. Married for 58 years. He was the most wonderful, kind, gentle, loving man. Loved and shared my passion for all God's creatures, and shared that with me. I loved his passion for music...my Music Man.He Loved his Family so much! And was so proud of his daughter Nancy and son Jerry III And they loved him! His 4 grandchildren, Sean, Brett and Amy Sparaco and Jerome (Jay) Srogi IV were his pride and joy. What more can I say about this dear man...my Love, my Confident, my All.
Just that Life will never be the same without him. I'll Love You Forever dear Jerry.

When your husband that you love more than Life itself walks out the door and says "I'm going for a little ride just get out of the house", and one mile from home is involved in a
serious auto accident and you never see him alive again, Please someone tell me how to go on without him. Because I do not know how.

The Shamas family will always remember Jerry as a fun loving, proud family man. We’ve had the opportunity to spend quite a few family celebrations in his company, and not only enjoyed his presence and good humor, but learned a couple of life lessons along the way. We miss Jerry, but know he left a loving family, his sense of humor, and zest of life to carry on.
