Dear Florio family,
I'm saddened to just hear of Bobby's passing. My name is Chris Delzio, I am from Harrison, NY. and worked for your Dad from around 1979 to around 1982?
I typed his name just this morning when i sent an update to my clients (I've not thought of Bobby for a while and looked him up. I actually used a YouTube video of Ralf Acompora talking about the Dow Theory.. I went on to say I met him a few times through his cousin Bobby Florio who was my boss and who got me a job as a Specialist Clerk on the AMEX back in 1979 (Bill Silver). And of course, my Dad, Henry (Trit) Delzio did some work in your house in Rye, around the corner from the train station. They started talking and before I knew it, i was interviewing on the AMEX floor. I see there is another fellow he helped get a job on the floor..
Your Dad is everything you say he is.. Mine has passed on as well. It's just the way things are.. I do miss him and am having many thoughts of him this morning.
I hope this reaches you.. if not it was an honor to type and to think about two wonderful man.. two men who came from very different beginnings who became friends. Friends just enough that one man helped the other man's son get a start in the business. A business I'm still in 42 years later.
