I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of George’s passing. He coached me in the Connecticut state science fair in the late 1980’s. His compassionate encouragement meant the world to me. We’ve stayed in contact over the years and he remained a valuable mentor who shaped my career in so many ways that he probably never knew. I will miss him and remember him for the rest of my life.

I was shocked and extremely saddened to learn of George's passing. He was a kind mentor and compassionate soul who confidently led by example. I had the honor of working for him at UTRC and being inspired by him to serve as a volunteer for the CT Science Fair. To his son Scott who introduced me to his father while at UCONN, I am grateful beyond words and to his wife Sue who has sent all those treasured Christmas/Holiday cards over the years please know that you and your family will be in our prayers of comfort and healing. Rest in peace my friend!

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Bob's passing. We became friends in high school, and stayed in touch over the years through the CT Science Fair and The CT Academy for Education. He was a wonderful man and I will truly miss him. On behalf of the Bulkelely High School Class of 1960, my sincerest condolences.

I knew George through the Connecticut Science Fair. I enjoyed his company, drawn to his calmness and warmth. He assembled a strong and devoted science fair team that worked with him for many, many years. That team is one of many tributes to who he was.

Denny and I are sending our sincerest sympathy to the entire Wisner family. He was a true gentleman to all and we admire his accomplishments. Bob was in the middle of a project for the Deep River Historical Society and like everything Bob did, it was done to perfection. His smile, intelligence and overall interest in other people will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace Bob!
