Obituary of Mary T. Dodson

Mary T. Dodson 85, of Old Saybrook, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife to Ernest J. Dodson for 62 years. She was born April 19, 1935 to the late James and Ella Murray in Tarrytown, NY. Mary was employed by Caldor for many years, and worked at Marshall's up until her retirement. After Mary's retirement she enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Michael) Olsen, of Deep River, and Patricia (John) Higgins of Torrington, her grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, and Amanda Olsen, Patrick and Nicole Higgins, and her great- grandson, Mason Olsen. She also leaves her brother, Joseph (Genevieve) Murray of Freehold, NY. She will be laid to rest with her daughter Donna Anne Dodson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Saint John Church, 161 Main Street in Old Saybrook. Burial will follow directly after Mass in the Riverside Cemetery, Sheffield Street in Old Saybrook. Mary will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
