I took care of this ray of sunshine in dialysis. He was my light when I worked his treatment days. A tough cookie to keep compliant but he usually followed my advice. I loved this man like a dad. The hardest part of leaving dialysis was leaving him. I checked up on him now and then though and called him when he went to rehab. He always called me Angel. I’m so sorry to hear about his passing. My deepest condolences to your family. He talked about each and every one of you. His kids grandkids and great grand kids were his whole world (ok and fishing let’s be honest) but whenever he spoke about any of you his eyes would light up with pride. The love he had for all of you was unmeasurable.

I am so so sad to see this!! I honestly never knew his name until reading this. He introduced himself to us as "grandpa" and thats what we called him. James was a wonderful and sweet man. We only met a few times. I am the paternal aunt to his great- grand daughter. He was very kind to us. He treated me and my kids as family in the short time we had to become acquainted. I send my deepest condolences to his family and friends. I wish you all strength and peace as you work through this difficult time. Wrap yourselves in happy memories. He loved you all so much. HK

Still doesn't feel real yet, that you are gone. I will cherish all the memories we've had. I know that you'll be watching over us. Love you so much Grandpa, rest in peace. Say hi to Grandma and Uncle Jimmy for me. Love your Granddaughter Caitie, your Grandson Elliot and Clyde.
