Obituary of Shirley Osborn

Shirley Osborn of Weston, CT, passed away peacefully, with her son Bob and his wife Brenda at her side on December 10th, after a long battle with dementia. She is survived by her three children, Bob Osborn, Carol Richards and Bill Osborn, along with her grandchildren Rob, Chris, Rebecca, and Corey and great-grandchildren Tori, Rhett, and Emme. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Bob in 2013, after sixty years of marriage. Shirley was born to Wilbert Baldwin and Ione Baldwin (Wright), of Westfield NJ and graduated from Skidmore College. She contributed to her family and friends in so many ways sharing her love without reserve. It is said that the greatest gift that anyone can give their children is a happy marriage. And she and Bob did just that. When her family gathered to celebrate that 60th wedding anniversary most members of their wedding party and many lifelong friends attended the party. It was a testament to their devotion to family and friends. Bob and Shirley lived for many years in Weston, CT, attending Emmanuel Church. Shirley will be laid to rest, alongside her husband in the Emmanuel Church Cemetery. A service is planned for when COVID restrictions allow. Shirley was a long time member of the P.E.O., the Philanthropic Educational Organization, also known as the P.E.O. Sisterhood. For the last years of her life, she has lived at Masonicare in Wallingford, CT.
