Pam and family, we were so blessed to know Tony. I will never forget being moved to tears with his singing of Ave Maria at St Mark’s. Praying for all of you as you grieve this great loss.

Tony was a very special person who was able to connect with even the most challenging students. He made them feel valued and appreciated. I had the good fortune to learn from Tony and work with him in my first years as a school counselor at the middle school in East Haddam. He was a kind, intelligent. thoughtful person who could help us all appreciate one another. I am a better person for having known him!

Mr Pursutti was a wonderful teacher. He also sang at my brother's wedding. Anybody who had him as a teacher probably had a great experience.

I was one of Mr. Persutti’s students in the late ‘80s at Hale-Ray and also had the great pleasure of interacting with him from time to time when we both returned many years later as substitute teachers. I could go on and on about what a wonderful man and teacher he was. The most important thing I wanted to say is that I loved Mr. Persutti and will remember him fondly. Though it’s been many years since we’ve spoken, I miss him dearly.
