Obituary of Albert "Bud" Lietgeb, Jr.

Albert “Bud” Lietgeb, age 73, of Colchester, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 19, 1947 in Middletown the son of Albert Lietgeb, Sr. and Ethel (Peterson) Zeeck both of Ivoryton. Bud was a veteran of the United States Army who having proudly, and with honor served his country from 1966-1968 during the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Shaw) Lietgeb, his twin sons, Albert John Lietgeb,III and John Albert Lietgeb, his sister, Geraldine (Jerry) Sheehan and his parents. Bud leaves his daughters and their husbands, Kim and Jim Olson, of Deep River, Connecticut, Louise and John Moore, of Bushnell, Florida, Alberta (Alley) and William Vile, Jr., of Chester, Connecticut, and Amy and Ernie Krulikowski, of Old Lyme, Connecticut. He also leaves his nine grandchildren, Cateline Lietgeb, Kyle Krulikowski, US Army Specialist, William Cozino, II and his wife Kyla, Shelby Olson, US Army, PFC Conrad Cozino, Thomas Olson, Savannah Krulikowski, William (B) and Samantha Vile. Bud is also survived by his five great-grandchildren, Isaiah Lietgeb-Cozino, Scarlet Cozino, Dean Lietgeb-Garcia, Hazel Cozino and Gabriella Lietgeb-Garcia and his sisters, Judith Schneider, Joan Wade, and Janice Lovell. He will be also always remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 1:00PM at the Fountain Hill Cemetery, High Street in Deep River. Rev. Timothy Haut of the First Congregation Church of Deep River will officiate. Arrangements are in the care of the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home in Centerbrook.

Graveside Service

A graveside service with the rendering of Full Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, March 2nd at 1:00 PM in the Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River.
