Obituary of Austin Knights Blake

Austin Knights Blake, (Butch), 76, of Deep River passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 after a courageous battle with heart disease. Butch leaves behind his wife Rebecca (Cohen) Blake, of Deep River, with whom he shared nearly 30 wonderful years. He also leaves his daughter, Patricia Goddard (Warren) of Southbridge, Massachusetts, his son, Kenneth Blake of Mississippi, his sisters, Wanda Lesick, of Middletown, Connecticut and Nancy Rousseau (Raymond), of Eastham, Massachusetts. Butch also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Craig and Jennifer Goddard of Massachusetts and Kenneth Blake, Jr. and Carlena Blake of Mississippi, and several special nieces and nephews, and his loyal companions, Chloe and Jack. Austin will be missed by so many who saw his kind spirit behind the gruff exterior. Visitation will be held at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street in Centerbrook on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. His funeral service and rendering of Full Military Honors will follow on the front lawn of the funeral home.
