I grew up across the street from the Potters when they lived in Westfield. I am so sad to learn of Ted’s passing. As a young man we called him “Teddy” and I remember him as an intelligent, quirky kid who wanted to be a “vegetable man” when he grew up. Unsurprisingly, he went on to great things as have the rest of his family. His brother Simon was my best friend for many youthful years and I have nothing but fond memories of the entire Potter clan. Ted was a unique kid, and no surprise he grew up to become a well loved, unique human being!

We are deeply saddened for Ted's family and friends, and for his VSCCA family. We first met Ted when Rick signed up for VSCCA Driver's Ed, at the Pocono track, going back to 2008. Rick always enjoyed reconnecting with Ted at the annual races at Lime Rock. Rick was deeply affected with the news this weekend at Spring Sprints. He said he saw Ted in everyone's face. Ted was an amazing human being. AMAZING. Words cannot express the sorrow in our hearts. Rest in Peace, dearest Ted. With our deepest condolences, Rick Neves (102# Healey 100) and Nancy Sitta

Dear Potter Family: Our sincere, heartfelt condolences upon Ted's passing. Ted served as our personal Estate Attorney for the past few years. We felt indescribable awe upon our acquaintance of such an intelligent, affable, humble gentleman. Ted helped us immensely ensuring our documents are in order. Ted also eased many concerns regarding my mother's Estate upon her passing in New Jersey. Our youngest son is a bicyclist/attorney in California. We recollect Ted laughing at stories of Paul in Florence, Italy, with the UCLA Cycling Team. We pause to reflect upon the tremendous loss of this remarkable person and Ted's ability to touch our lives earnestly. Peace and Serenity, Barbara and Peter Famiglietti (Deep River)

Our Dad, Dick Dillenbeck, was a long-time client of Ted's, and they shared a love of classic cars and racing at Lime Rock. After Dad passed away Ted was so kind and helpful as we began working on settling the estate. He was always a pleasure to work with, and yes, we always started our meetings with some car talk! He is gone much too soon, and our hearts go out to his family and those who loved him on this sudden and terrible loss. We will be making a donation to BiciCo in his honor.

My condolences to you Lynn, Clara, and Graham,
I think of your family every time I saw one of Ted's cars in front of your house. Gary used to love to talk cars with Ted. I have so many memories as well as my girls of all the camping and girl scout activities that were were all involved with together..

Dear Potter Family,
Such a shock to hear this sad news. Ted was an amazing individual. He once gave me some great advice about traveling with family. He told me that money can never replace the memories you will always have traveling with your family. I remind myself of this often and am grateful of his advice. He was also an excellent lawyer who helped us navigate through the will process. Whenever we met, he always had a smile and kind words. He will truly be missed and our heart breaks for all of you during this difficult time. We will keep you in our thoughts.

I met Ted when he was an associate at Wiggin and Dana and have continued to work with him all of these years. We also had the pleasure of watching him race at LimeRock and view some his vintage cars. I always admired the courage to drive some of them back from place of purchase alone! So sorry for your loss.
