Dottie-Erl left a lot of warm memories behind. I think of the time Bill and I drove to your Essex house to deliver tickets to a dinner honoring Erls best friend, Don Morrison. Erl attended that event the day he had eye surgery. He could not let his friend Don down. He had to be there for his friend. We marveled at that fortitude. Erl was the nicest man Bill and I ever knew. He always had a way to make you feel special. He was Bill's role model. They worked together and had a relationship that was filled with a lot of good natured kidding.
Our sincere sympathy to you and your family

Erl was my mentor when I first joined the LVVS Board. I enjoyed the many hours we spent together at the library book sale on Saturday mornings. He always had an interesting story and made our time together a memorable occasion. He was a gentleman who had a kind word for everyone. I will my old colleague and friend.

Mr. Nord was a welcome presence here at Shoreline Medical Center as a Lifeline volunteer. I enjoyed all his stories of his family and his tennis game (many times he showed up in his tennis whites!) He was a delight to talk to, he always stayed a bit and shared a story. We will miss him here very much.

Dear Dorothy,
I am so sorry to learn of Earl's passing. I am so blessed and honored to have become friends with the both of you through Literacy Volunteers. It was Earl's example, when I first joined the Board, that sowed the seed of service for me for Literacy. Under his direction the Board and the organization made great strides for literacy in the CT Valley Shore area. I loved his sense of humor. My sympathy and deepest condolences to you and your family.
Affectionately,
Kathryn Bozzi
