I had the delight of a visit with Elsie when she was in Houston with Heidi many years ago. Her life spirit filled the room with so much energy, and she talked so freely and with great interest and appreciation about my fiber art works, which resonated with her passionate attraction to cloth and sewing, that she instantly changed from Heidi’s mom to a like minded friend. Some people seem to love life more intensely than others and I felt in that brief but memorable encounter that Elsie was one of them. I think that anyone who lives to 98 is proof of a life loving attitude no matter the difficulties. My condolences to my friend Heidi and all her family in their loss of Elsie. All of us however will not release her memory to death but keep her living in our minds. Carolyn Dahl. Houston TX
