My thoughts and my heart are in Deep River with the Winchell's and Macmillan's, in Boston, in Baltimore- Heather had such an impact on so many. Everyone around her was lit up by her presence. When we were roommates, I wanted a Christmas tree for our room. We were broke and certainly didn't need one, but I kept bringing it up. I came home from studying late one night to find an artificial Christmas tree tucked into my bed. I still have no idea where she got it, but it was one of the funniest moments of my life and every year after that we decorated the little tree. She was always surprising me with her quick wit and sense of humor. I can't imagine living in a world without her; Heather's art will continue to inspire artists and film makers everywhere. I have a beautiful shadowbox that she made me, I keep it on my desk. Every day I am reminded of her creativity, her vibrance, the compassion she had for the world and everyone in it. "True love will find you in the end". Rest Easy, my friend.
