George deeply loved Our Lady and he consecrated himself through his Profession into the Third Order of Mary on May 22, 2007 He always wore his Marist pin on his jacket, attended T.O.M. meetings, religious events, and retreats. During Covid-19 George prayed the rosary 3 times a day and then many times in the nursing home. Throughout his agonizing suffering with his illness, he remained on the cross with Jesus, until he was called home.
George was so grateful to the many people who visited him, brought meals, cleaned, and especially prayed for him. It was
providential that he died on Nov 15, the same day as our Marist Founder Venerable Fr. Jean Claude Colin, dying 11-15-1875. May Our Lady bring George to the arms of her son, Jesus.
