To the Long family, I offer my sincere at condolences. I worked with Mike at Allstate. I always called Mike a gentle giant. He was the most gracious gentleman with the heartiest laugh. His laugh was deep and contagious. We often talked about our involvement with our respective churches and faith. I know Mike is in heaven asking the Lord all sorts of questions. I pray you all find comfort in the days and months to come.
Respectfully, Nicole Ford

I had the profound honor and pleasure to get to know Mike through his efforts for Sustainable Essex. He was unflagging in his aspirations to achieve great things for the community. Mike was always, but always, cheerful, and had a contagious laugh. He was inspiring. He will be missed tremendously.

Oh, Elizabeth, Ken and I are so very shocked and saddened about Mike’s passing. We left CT 11-18-21 for PA. I’m so sorry to not be able to stop by to see and hug you, or to attend Mike’s Celebration of Life. I’m crying even now. Mike was one of the nicest most genuine people I’ve ever known. And he was trying to get us all together before we left. I wish we’d been able to make that happen…. Elizabeth, all love and tenderness to you as you grieve. We will be thinking of you. With a heavy, but grateful heart to have known your beloved. He mattered. And so do you. Suzanne Personette and Ken Peterkin (Abe, too)

Mike was the nicest person and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I had the honor of working with him for several years at Allstate. Everyone who was fortunate enough to work with him, adored him. I am sending my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. I hope that all of the wonderful memories that you have bring you peace during this difficult time.

One of the Kindest indivuduals I have ever met - Appreciated his knowledge when starting my Allstate Agency back in 1996 . Mike would come to Maine staying at the Friendship Motor Inn Old Orchard Beach a few streets down from my family home, Mike called it paradise being able to walk the beach when not working / helping agents thruout Maine.
Will be missed!!!

I attended Berlin High School with Mike and was a member of the graduating class of 1971. I fondly remember Mike and his love of the marching band and more recently, when we reconnected and served on the planning committee of our 50th High School reunion which he threw himself into totally.
Fly with the eagles Mike, and until we meet again…. ❤️
