Obituary of Janet Lane

Janet Lane, 54 of Old Saybrook, passed away on December 11 , 2021 , of a Heart attack in her sleep. Janet was born on August 21, 1967 in Old Saybrook, CT. to Barbara Bangs Jette and the late Theodore Jette. Janet got her GED then went to Middlesex Community College after a few years she went to Kaplan University for medical transcription. In 2010, Janet met Paul Lane ,and married on Febuary 18, 2011. Janet spent her time doing resin art, laser cutting wood with a snapmaker and many other crafts. She also loved taking care of her daughter, son, granddaughter and great great granddaughter. She loved being with her family. In addition to her father, Janet was predeceased by her: Grandmother Evelyn Bangs; Grandfather Arthur Bangs, Uncle Ronald Bangs, Daughter Heather Norman and many other family members. Along with her mother, Janet is survived by her; husband, Paul Lane; Brother, James Jette, Sister Jody Lynn ; Sister Jean Nikocevic ,Son Leon Swaney, Jr., Daughter, Amanda Norman & her fiancé Jason Dailey; step daughters, Tanya LaBarge and Ashley Schaffer; sisters in-law Terry Barbaresi and her husband Russel Barberesi Sr and Beverly Lane Lafreniere; Brothers in-laws Kenneth Lane, Mike Lane and Nate Lane many nieces; and nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Interment will be held privately.
