Obituary of Frederick C. McPherson

Frederick Charles McPherson, age 105, passed away on March 10th at his home in Deep River, CT. He died peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife Julia Ann, age 99. They were together in marriage for 75 years. Fred was born in Essex, on November 12th, 1909. He served in the US Army stationed in Panama. Fred was employed as a baker with the Viking Bakery in West Hartford. He then worked for the New Era Press in Deep River, for over 36 years until his retirement. Fred is survived by his wife, Julia (Schultz) and his son Patrick of Westbrook, four grandchildren, Dawn Kiszmar of Montgomery, NY, Patrick Jr., of Ivoryton, Matthew of Katy, TX and Kelly Morrell of Montgomery, TX and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 14th at the Winthrop Baptist Church, 444 Winthrop Rd., Deep River. Burial will be held in the spring in the Winthrop Cemetery in Winthrop. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fred's name may be made to the Winthrop Baptist Church.
