Obituary of Diane J. Chapman

Diane J. (Otrin) Chapman, 81 of Laurel Drive, Old Lyme, formerly of Old Saybrook, died on June 27, 2022 at her home. Diane was born on April 13, 1941 in Guilford, CT. Diane was predeceased by her parents Anthony A. Otrin and Grace E. (Trerice) Otrin of Westbrook, CT where the family resided. Diane owned and operated The Feed Bag in Old Saybrook for 35 years before retiring in 2003. After retiring, she and her husband spent time traveling. She is survived by her husband Burton E. Chapman, Jr., of Old Lyme, her son Jeff Chapman of Old Saybrook, her daughter Tricia Chapman Granata of Old Lyme, and her two grandsons Collyn Herel of Groton, and William Herel of Niantic. Diane also leaves behind her two brothers Donald Otrin of North Branford, and Gerald Otrin of Westbrook. Per the family’s request it is asked that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her memory to a pet rescue organization of your choice. Per Diane’s wishes, there will be no public services. Arrangements are in the care of the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home of Centerbrook.
