Obituary of Albert Ned Rogin

Albert Ned Rogin, 79, of Essex and formerly of West Hartford, died October 17, 2022, after battling leukemia. Born in Hartford to Edward and Matilda Rogin, Ned was raised in West Hartford. He is survived by his wife Norma after 55 years of marriage. Ned was a graduate of Kingswood, The University of Pennsylvania, and Boston University Law School. Ned practiced law at Rogin Nassau in Hartford before becoming a financial advisor at Essex Financial Services. In 1996 he and Norma moved to Essex which they both considered a gift. Ned was devoted to his family, friends, and clients, many of whom felt like family. He loved to fish, play golf, take walks with his wife, mow his lawn, and watch the Yankees. He was most comfortable with family and at a beach. For many years, Ned was a board member of the original Hebrew Home and Hospital in Hartford, served as President of the Essex Historical Society, was a Justice of the Peace, and a veteran. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his in-laws Harry and Sylvia Aronis. He is survived by his children Jennifer Rogin Wallis of Fairfield, CT and Alexander Aronis Rogin of Memphis, TN, and wonderful grandchildren Eva Rose and Noah Edward Wallis, and Wallis Elizabeth and Evans Louise Rogin. Survivors also include his sister Amy Rogin Bisconte (Vincent), and sister-in-law Ellen Aronis Heard (Jamie), nephews and niece. Funeral will be Friday, October 21 at noon at the Riverview Cemetery, 37 North Main Street, Essex. Warm thanks to Yale’s Grimes Center.
