Irena was a powerful woman with much inner strength to have survived the horrors of WWll. She never forgot those who hid her away during WWll when she was able to "pass" as a gentile. She shared with me how much she enjoyed visiting churches after being taken "under the wing" of former employees of her family. It was through her experience as a Gallery Owner with Robert Frost's Daughter that we first met.It ws decades later that she was able to come out as a Jewish Woman who managed to function on the highest level in spite of her disorienting background.
