Obituary of James Mario DeNino

James DeNino, 70, of Colchester, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14th, 2023, in his home. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Jane Pinney DeNino who were married for 41 years. James was born on July 9th, 1952, in Middletown, CT to Florentino DeNino and Martha Hubner. Jim grew up in the Connecticut River Valley area and attended Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed at Pratt & Whitney for over 35 years. Jim was kind and witty, a master & mentor in the art of fixing, and a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a brilliant mind, an enormous heart, a great laugh, and genuine smile that was rarely captured on camera. Jim is survived by his two sons Steven DeNino and wife Carrie of Bristol, CT, Christopher DeNino and partner Jessica Bernier of Haddam, CT and his three grandchildren Steven, Anthony, and Joseph DeNino. Jim is also survived by his sister Linda Walker and husband John of Williamsville, VT, sister Vicky Smith and husband Russ of Essex, CT, brother Tom DeNino and wife Jeanette of Newington, CT, brother Charlie Baldoni of Norwich, CT and brother Tim Baldoni of Niantic, CT along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jim was also pre-deceased by his father Florentino, mother Martha, and sister Jean-Marie. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, from 5-7 pm at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT 06409. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 28, at 10:00 am in the Wooster Chapel located on the ground of Fountain Hill Cemetery, 57 High Street, Deep River, CT 06417.
