Obituary of Eleanor Felman Neistat

Eleanor “Ellie” Felman Neistat, 88 years of age, formerly of Boynton Beach, FL and Newington, CT, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023.  Born in Hartford, CT on February 5, 1935 to the late Raymond and Rose (Winnick) Felman and predeceased by her husband of over 59 years, Leonard A. Neistat. Ellie leaves behind her loving sons Mark and Jeffrey (Maritza) and grandchildren Hali, Benjamin, Samantha, Olivia (Ben Parker), Raymond and Alexandra.   She also leaves her sister Maxine (Henry Spieski) and brother Joel Felman (Denise). Ellie loved playing card and board games and will be remembered for her elegant taste in clothes and home décor. Her world revolved around her husband and sons and she was their biggest fan throughout her life. Her unconditional love and support has been engrained in her sons and has been continued in their relationships with their own children. As a child, Ellie and her sister Maxine caused so much commotion at the local movie theater that she was known as “the marble girl” by her in laws when her future husband brought her home to meet the family. Eleanor “Ellie’ Felman Neistat will be missed. A graveside service will be privately held in the Temple Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery in Newington.
