Obituary of Joseph L. Nowak
Joseph L. Nowak 62 of Chester passed away on March 22, 2023, surrounded by his family and dearest friends after a brief illness.
Born in New Britain and raised in Berlin, Joe moved to Chester where he resided with his wife for 30 yrs. He was an avid sportsman, he loved fishing, boating, and hunting. Joe often told tales of his adventures, hunting moose, caribou, wild boar, and his fishing excursions whether steel head in NY, grouper in FL or yellow tale in Costa Rica. Joe loved sharing his harvests whether it was the fish he smoked, his homemade venison sausage or kielbasa. The annual fish fry was always a great time. He is survived by his wife of 31 yrs Kimberley Tebolt-Nowak, Parents Victor and Donna (Shirkey) Nowak, Daughters Nicole Nowak and partner Jonathon Hall, Kimberly Nowak and husband Richard Spano, Granddaughters Kayla Nalepa, Olivia Spano and Haley Spano, Brother Victor Nowak and wife Wilma, Sister Debra Seraduck and husband David, Sister Michelle Mayo and Husband Michael, Brother Thomas Nowak and partner Cherie Seymore. Brother-in-law William Tebolt and wife Cheryl, Father-in-law Lee Bushey, God son and nephew James Nowak Jr. As well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles Nowak, James Nowak Sr. and Mother-in-law Kathleen Bushey. Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of ours friends that offered their support at this difficult time.
A visitation will be held at Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St., Centerbrook, CT 06409, on Saturday, April 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A celebration of Joe’s life will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe’s memory to a children’s sportsman charity of your choice.
